Resus One — a business of Lyrebird Collective Pty Ltd (ABN 95 700 670 426) · Effective date: 27 August 2026 · Version 1.2
Your privacy matters to us — so we built ResusOne to need almost none of your information. Here’s exactly what that means.
Resus One (a business of Lyrebird Collective Pty Ltd, ABN 95 700 670 426) (“we”, “us”, “our”) develops and operates the ResusOne mobile application (“the App”), a clinical reference and decision-support tool for healthcare professionals. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with the App, consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
ResusOne is built to collect as little information as possible. We do not require an account, we do not show advertising, and we do not track your identity. Information you enter in the App — such as a patient’s weight or age — stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. With your consent (on by default, and able to be switched off in Settings), the App collects anonymous usage statistics to help us improve it — these contain no personal information and no patient data.
(a) Information we do not collect. We do not collect your name, contact details, precise location, or any identifier that links your use of the App to you. The App contains no third-party advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites.
(b) Information stored only on your device. To function, the App stores certain information locally on your device using standard device storage. This includes: the patient weight and age you enter to perform dose calculations; your preferences (for example, theme and selected guideline set); any custom reference entries you create; and a record that you accepted the in-app disclaimer, with the date and time. This information never leaves your device, is not linked to your identity, and is not accessible to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.
(c) Reference-content requests. The App downloads its clinical reference library (drug and infusion data) from our third-party hosting provider over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. These are read-only requests. As with any internet service, our hosting provider may automatically log technical information about each request — such as an IP address, timestamp, and general device type — for security, reliability, and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs are retained for a short period and are not used by us to identify you.
(d) Correspondence. If you contact us — for example, using the in-app “Report an Issue” feature, which opens your own email application — we receive the information you choose to include (such as your email address and message). We use it only to respond and to improve the App’s content.
(e) Anonymous usage analytics. With your consent, the App collects anonymous usage data to help us improve the App. This is handled by using a randomly generated, non-identifying device identifier. No personal or patient information is collected. You can disable this at any time.
We use the limited information described above to: operate and maintain the App and its reference library; respond to your questions, feedback, and issue reports; maintain the security and integrity of our systems; and comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their marketing. We use a third-party service provider to operate the App:
We may disclose information where required or authorised by law.
As noted above, our hosting and analytics providers’ servers may be located outside Australia. The only information processed overseas is the technical request-log data described in section 3(c) and the anonymous usage events described in section 3(e). We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers with appropriate security practices.
We protect information using encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections and access controls. Our database enforces read-only access for the App (row-level security), and we do not ship privileged credentials in the App. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.
ResusOne is a professional clinical tool intended for use by qualified healthcare professionals. It is not directed at, or intended for, children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we hold almost no personal information about you, most of your data is under your direct control on your device. Where we do hold personal information (for example, an email you have sent us), you may request access to it, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and highlight material changes in the App or on our website.
